Monday was decidedly a disagreeable day. We had snow in the morning and then rain which lasted during the afternoon and far into the night, ending with a fall of several inches of snow early Tuesday morning.

Announcement has been made of the marriage of Miss Isabel Reese and Russel Pidcoe of Muncy R.D. , which took place Wednesday evening Dec. 22.
Ransom Plotts, 71, died at his home in Huntersville, January 10, after a brief illness, suffering from a heart attack on Friday night.
Announcement has been made of the engagement of Miss Leilla Bower to Harold A. Anspach of Danville.
A daughter was born to Mr. and Mrs. William Neild of Williamsport on January 5.
Exchanged vows in candlelight ceremony was Miss Barbara Boak of Hughesville, and Lt. William H. Myers of Muncy, on Tuesday evening.
Cadet Leroy S. Gleason, 15, son of MR. and MRs. James Gleason of Muncy R.D. is a student at Bordentown Military Institute at Borden town, J.J.
After bing lost for two weeks, the 17-month old son of Mr. and Mrs. Reno Hill of Green street, was found Monday when the Hill family discovered a clue to his whereabouts from a Philadelphia paper on Sunday. When Mr. Hill same to claim the child at the Philadelphia General Hospital he reported to Philadelphia public welfare officials that MRs. Hill had left home Dec. 22 taking the child with her saying she was going to Philadelphia. A week later she returned ill and without the boy. She was put under a doctor’s care. The child who had been found abandoned in the hallway of a central city apartment house Dec. 23, had been taken to the hospital from the Children’s Welfare Shelter where he refused to eat and became listless.
Pennsdale-Mr. and Mrs. Frank McClain and family of Picture Rocks spent Sunday with their daughter, Mrs. Thomas Springman.
Born to Mr. and Mrs. Chester Purdy Thursday, Jan. 6, a daughter who has been named Susan Ellen.Mr. and Mrs. Stuart Reed have bought the farm from Adam Martin, recently bought by MR. Martin from C.W. Sones. The Reeds will take possession in the spring.

The most prolific basketball scorer in Muncy high school history is senior Mark Miller, who topped the 1,000-mark last Tuesday in a game against Hughesville.
An original painting of Muncy native Nathanial Deron (Deak) Green, created in 1884, was uncovered accidentally last week by Ron Woodling of the new Serendipity shop, and the painting now hangs on the shop’s wall.
