Married on the 18th inst. at his own residence in Muncy, Mr. Daniel R. Frantz of Picture eRocks and Miss Mary E. Baldwin of Springville Susquehanna County.
Died in Crawford County, Ill., on the 8th inst., Mr. Thomas Barrett, formerly of Penn township, this county, aged 52 years, and 13 days.
Mrs. M.M. Coder, of Coder’s Hotel, in the Borough, having discounted the Hotel business and sold her personal effects on Tuesday of last week, at public sale, E.G. Fields, late of the United States Hotel, Milton, took possession of the house on Wednesday last, and will keep it hereafter.

Mr. Israel Wells, formerly of this place, was married last week to Miss Josephine Featherly of N.Y., in which city Mr. Wells is employed by the Northern Central R.R. Company.
Mr. Robert Manville and Miss F.A. Ives, daughter of Mr. Samuel Ives, were were married on Feb. 14th, at the home of the bride.
Clinton B. Burtnett, of Muncy, was married Feb. 22, to Emma E. Lair of Hughesville, by Rev. William Heakes, of Muncy.

Only five veterans attended the bean bake of the John D. Musser Post NO. 66, G.A.R., held at the community house here Friday night. Those who attended were John Anderson, William Ellis, David Smith and Wilson Gundrum, all post members.
The Foucart frame store building purchased by Jacob Murray and JRR.McCarty, has been torn down and a new modern building will be erected this spring.
The abolition of the present Montoursville trolley line and the substitution of a motor bus service in a resolution passed Friday evening at the regular meeting of the Montoursville council.

The management of the Ritz Theater has announced that it will have on display two captured flags, an Italian flag and a Nazi flag, sent to Angelo Butera by PFC Angelo Sam Butera who is serving in our Armed Forces now in Italy.
Engagement announced of Miss Eldora Fay Millheim, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Norman Millheim, Muncy R.D. 3 and Pvt. Edmund Ball of Picture Rocks.
The name of Crawford Hotel has been changed to the Fort Brady Hotel, it was announced by R.C. Mitchell, who recently purchased the old hotel property and business from George Crawford.
Pennsdale-Mr. and Mrs. John Ott and children of Muncy and Mr. and Mrs. Donald Artley and daughter of Picture Rocks were visitors Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Gortner.
Mrs. Harry Taylor of Picture Rocks visited her sister, Mrs. J. C. Stugard Thursday.
LaRue M. Houseknecht, son of Mr. and Mrs. H.M. Houseknecht has been promoted to P.F.C. LaRue is serving with the Army Air Force somewhere in Sicily.

Three Muncy area youths have been honored on the occasion of earning the Eagle Scout rank and two of them are receiving the additional high honor of God and Country Award. They are Wayne Gordner, Philip Baskin, and Donald Foust.
Already participating personnel needs for next school term, Muncy School Board agreed to offer a teaching contract for the upcoming year to a former teacher, MRs. Janice Johnson.
Airman Clarence P. Baker of Hughesville has completed basic training at Lackland AFB,Tex.
