1869 – Married in this Borough on the 8th inst., Warren S. Campbell of Plunkets Creek township and Miss Mary Kaufman of Wolf township, all of Lycoming County.
Died in this Borough on Thursday last, Mrs. Mary Rissel, aged 84 years.
Two burglaries were committed in and near this borough on Wednesday night last. The residence of Mr. H.S. Root in this Borough was entered and the gold spectacles of Mrs. Root, a gold locket, and five dollars in money stolen. On the same night the house occupied by Mr. William Trump and Mr. Jacob McLain at the Willow Grove Mills was entered and it was supposed by the same party.

Byerly Brothers Meet in England-Two brothers, Cpl. Joseph and Pvt. Lake Byerly, sons of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Byerly of N. Main Street had a thrilling experience recently. Lake who has been in England since last November received word from his parents that Joe had arrived in England.
Miss Lois B. App, of Montgomery, R.D., and Sgt. George W. Taylor, Jr. were united in marriage April 24.
Harold F. Mincemoyer of the United States Navy stationed at Olathe, Kansas, has been promoted to Ship’s Cook 3/c.
Joseph Sprout Ph. M. 2/c of the United States Navy, stationed at Annapolis, Md., confined to the hospital there with scarlet fever.

Miss Rhonda Rarig, formerly of Muncy, becomes the bride of Jack H. List, South Williamsport, on March 22.

Dot and Bill Sandmeyer of Picture Rocks helped clean the earth and keep it beautiful. The couple were part of the Picture Rocks Lions Club who pick up litter for the Adopt-a-Highway program.
Muncy Bank and Trust Company presented a check for $30,000 to STEP, Inc.
A drawing for two baseballs and two sports cards autographed by Ed Ott was a part of the Muncy Little League opening ceremony.
A 1969 Muncy High School graduate, David B. Bardo, was recently named district superintendent of schools in the Wittenberg-Birnamwood School District in Wisconsin.
Erin Erdman, 15-year old, of Huntersville, won the gold medal in cross country skiing in the 500 meter race at the Special Olympics State Competition in Johnstown this past February.
