A third story has been put on the United States Hotel, in this borough, which when finished will make a fine improvement.
A sorrel horse belong to M. Welliver, proprietor of the U.S. Hotel, and a sorrel horse and two sets of harness belong to E.M. Green were stolen Tuesday night. Mr. Green’s horse broke his halter strap while in the possession of the thief and returned home on Wednesday morning.

Murray Zealor has opened a restaurant in the Eagle Hotel building on North Main street.
Harry Tallman, of Renovo, is spending the week with his parents Mr. and Mrs. John Tallman.
The remains of Miss Angeline Smith, age 77, of Kansas, who died at the home of her brother, DJ. Smith, at Wilkes Barre, on Saturday last, were brought to Muncy on the Pennsylvania train Monday afternoon and taken to the Muncy Cemetery for interment services at the grave being said by Rev. A.R. DeWitt, rector of St. James Church.

The Muncy schools will have a teacher of vocal music in all probability when the new semester starts in February.
Around the schools-In Miss Carpenter’s classes, we find that senior high is playing off badminton tournaments and the junior high is playing off shuffleboard.

Narber Fry, Artley Fry, and Evan Arbraszzinskas have returned from a moose hunting trip which included a three-day auto ride and a plane trip into the Canadian wilds beyond Quebec. Each hunter bagged a fine animal.
Died: Sadie Kreischer, 94, died Oct. 29; Daniel E. Houseknecht, 81, Hughesville, Oct. 30; Arilla Barto, 68, died Sunday; Walter D. Swank, Hughesville, died suddenly Oct. 30; Laura Housel, wife of the burgess of Montgomery, died Monday night while watching the Mummer’s Parade.

Michael Joseph McAleer Jr., 16, son of Michael J. and Elaine M. Gushen McAleer, died on Oct. 18, the result of injuries suffered in an automobile accident.
PFC Daniel J. DeMuro, Jr., RR 1 Muncy, successfully completed Marine Crops basic training at Parris Island, SC.
Seniors at Muncy High School provided a valuable service for senior citizens in the community when they took some time to rake the residents’ leaves last Saturday.
Harry E. Dilcher, Jr., M.D. announces that he will be relocating his practice to a new office in Muncy Family Practice Building at Hall’s Station on Old Route 147.
