Henry Clay’s Coffin-In pursuance of requests from friends of Hon., Henry Clay, Messrs. W. M. Raymond & Co., of New York, has forwarded to Washington a sarcophagus, or what is called “Fiske’s Metallic Burial Case,” for the inclosure of his remains. The material of the case consists of a composition of metals of most indestructible character the shape resembling outlines of the human body, and so joined together as to be impervious to air, or water. The whole appearance, although rich and beautiful, is still plan and appropriate.
To Make Mosquitos Leave-Tie a piece of flannel or sponge to a thread made fast to the top of the bedstead; wet the flannel or sponge with camphorated spirits, and the mosquitos will leave the room.

Deaths: Mrs. N. Boyd Wilson, aged 87 years, died at her home in Williamsport, on Saturday afternoon.
Muncy’s new $10,000 La France motor driven pumper and chemical engine was unloaded from the car Tuesday afternoon and taken to the fire engine house.

Hughesville Centennial to Start July 27- A festive atmosphere will rule in Hughesville next week as the old and the young turn out to celebrate the town’s 100th birthday in a program of activities lasting from July 27 to Aug. 2.
A severe electrical storm hit the area about midnight Monday and continued for two hours, but when it was all over, there was still the sweltering heat which threatens to set all kinds of records for persistence.
Births: A son to Mr. and Mrs. Charles Oden, Muncy, July 19; Mr. and Mrs. Richard Taylor, Elimsport, a son, July 20; A son to Mr. and Mrs. James Fowler, Allenwood, July 20; Mr. and Mrs. Sheldon Charles, Turbotville, July 19.
Engagement announced of Virginia McMurtrie, formerly of Muncy, to Horace Shultz, of Sunbury.
Miss Beverly Babb, Muncy, and Harold Rider, of Muncy, were married on Saturday.
Deaths: Mary E. Smith, 86, died at the home of her son, Russell, near Muncy, July 16; C. Harrison Jones, 78, former Montgomery resident, died July 15.

Mrs. Adam Womelsdorf died at her home near the Brick church on Thursday, after several weeks illness. She is survived by her husband and two daughters, Mrs. Morgan of Wanamie, and Mrs. Robert Hakes of Muncy.
Mrs. Emma Rae died at her home on Second Street Sunday afternoon after several weeks illness, aged 72 years.
Mr. and Mrs. Walter Sanders and daughter, Irene, attended the Sanders reunion Saturday.
Mrs. Joseph Fague and children of Canastota, N.Y. are guests of relatives and friends in this place and vicinity.
Durwood, the little son of Mr. and Mrs. Brady Houseknect, has been seriously ill at his home on Third Street.
Mr. and Mrs. Charles Worthington and family, Mrs. Susie Foust and Elmer Foust spent Sunday at the Trout Ponds.
J.W. Little, Picture Rocks, spent several days at Nordmont.
