The first snow flakes of the season whirled through the air last Tuesday.
A beautiful alms chest has been placed at the door of St. James’ Church.
Several foot races were held at the trolling park last Saturday for a purse of 50 cents, and Joe Albright came in ahead in fine style and pocketed the money.
Died: On Oct. 4th, in this Borough, Eleanor G. Bouman, wife of James Bouman.

We are indebted to Coleman Opp, of Muncy Creek township, for a lot of large and delicious peaches.
Frank Snyder, of Moreland township, drove over an embankment not far from his home, when he was returning from the Hughesville fair last Thursday night, and killed.

Miss Leona Brass, of this place, and Robert M. Klinefelter, of Montgomery, were united in marriage on Saturday morning.
Died: Myron L. Colley died at home of his parents on South Washington street on Wednesday morning.
Mr. and Mrs. Emerson Collins, of Williamsport, announced the marriage of their daughter, Helen Johnson to Charles Frederick Speaker on Tuesday, Oct. 3rd.

The jointure of Muncy-Muncy Creek and Muncy Township school districts was effected over the weekend.
A second case of polio in the Muncy area developed over the weekend when 12-year old Richard Fry, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clifton Fry, of Pennsdale, was admitted to the Williamsport Hospital with a diagnosis of polio.
The marriage of Katherine Moyer Snyder, formerly resident of Muncy, and D. Frederick Schick, of Philadelphia, on Sept. 12.
Engagement of Margaret Mary Hall, Muncy, to William Markowitz, of Philadelphia announced.

Oct. 5, 1922
Lycoming county Lutherans, especially those from the lower end of the county, will gather at the old Immanuel church between Muncy and Hughesville, birthplace of the Lutheran faith in this part of the state, on Sunday, October 15, for the second annual momorial service, marking the 108th anniversary of the founding of the church.
John W. Haynes is seriously ill at his home on Academy street.
Mr. and Mrs. Ray Butler and family, left today for California.
Born, this morning to Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Slonaker of Muncy, R.D., a daughter.
Mr. and Mrs. H.V. Clifford is moving into the Caroline Boak house on South Main street.
Miss Lillian Russell has returned to this place, after spending the past two months in Europe.
Harry Snodgrass aged 52 years, died at 11:45 o’clock Monday evening after being ill two months with typhoid fever. He was for many years employed at Sprout, Waldron and Co. His wife, a son, Fred, his mother, Mrs. Benjamin Snodgrass of Hughesville, and two brothers survive. Funeral services will be held at the residence this Thursday afternoon and burial will be made in the Muncy Cemetery.
Mrs. Eliza Mehrling, aged ninety-six years, fell down a flight of stairs at her home on Main street Monday and escaped with no injuries other than slight bruises.
Miss Florence Harmon, Picture Rocks, spent the weekend at Elmira. Mr. and Mrs. Osccar Gordon of Picture Rocks, left Saturday for Endicott, N. Y. where they will reside.
The Ladies of the Baptist church of Hughesville served dinner to the Hardware Association of Williamsport, which held an outing at Van Rensalaer park on Thursday.
