Thieves broke into the residence of Fannie Petrikin on Monday night but were frightened away by a small dong before any plunder was secured.
A disgraceful row occurred in the northern part of the Borough on Saturday night, resulting in bloody noses and broken bones.

Charles U. Cuddy, who has been connected with the Luminary for several months, left this week to enter the employ of a gold pen manufacturer in New York City.
The Williamsport papers are pleading with the capitalists of that city to erect some heat tenement houses that would rent for a moderate sum.
Frances Beeber left on Monday for Virginia where he has bought a farm near Winchester.
Married: At Christ Church , St. Paul, Minn., on Monday of last week, Miss Hattie Drake and Fred C. Peterman, both of this place.
Rogers store at Forksville was entered by thieves one night last week and Lorah’s safe at Sonestown, was blown open on Friday night, the rascals finding little to reward them, as money had not been left in the building at either place.

A pool table has been donated to the American Legion by E.S. Burrows.
The baked ham supper which was to be have been held in the Baptist church on March 1, has been indefinitely postponed.
The evangelistic meetings being conducted in the Baptist church at this place under the direction of E.C. Craybill are attracting large audiences. Sunday was the largest day of the meeting.
Paul Reeser, of Newberry, spent the week-end with his parents.
Misses Elsie and Amy Boatman and Blanche Ives, of Muncy, spent Sunday at the home of their parents here.
The Ladies Aid society of the Lutheran church will hold a food sale in Fague and Bugh’s Hardware store on Saturday, March 3, at 9 A.M.
The Newly organized Citizens band of this place, will hold a cake walk on Saturday evening, March 3, at Bartlow’s hall, North Main street.
Miss Ora L. Houseknecht and Howard E. Stugard, both of this place, were married Wednesday morning at 11 o’clock in the parish house of St. Mark’s Lutheran church, Williamsport by the Rev. Paul Yount.
The funeral of George Paulhamus, who died at Washington D.C., took place at Williamsport yesterday.
Mrs. Brady Bower underwent an operation at the Williamsport private hospital on Tuesday, and is getting along nicely.
Mrs. Lydia Houck is ill at her home on South Main street with pneumonia.
Mrs. B.L. Smith is ill with pneumonia.
