Freid Blue, of Port Penn, recently piloted a raft from Lock Haven to Northumberland, the length of which was 317 feet. Said to be the longest raft that ver came down the river.

Harley McGraph spent Sunday with friends at Highland Lake.
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Parker spent Sunday with friends in Millville.
Carl Hughes has moved his family to Woolrich, where they will reside.
F.W. Corcoran and family are moving into the Fague property on South Main street.
Peter Confer and family have moved into the McCarty property on South Main street, recently vacated by Lee Smith and family.
Miss Helen Beeber has purchased a new Ford sedan.
Mrs. Gautsch is seriously ill at the home of her son, Thomas Gautsch, on Broadway.
Mrs. Worthington suffered a stroke of paralysis Monday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Jacob Rishel, on Fourth street.
Misses Pauline Reed, Nashla Ashkar and Hilda Stiger attended the basketball game and dance at Montoursville recently.
The Big Five basketball team was defeated Friday night by the High Tossers in the Sonestown Community hall by a score of 39 to 28.
A free moving picture show will be shown at the Odelphi Theatre Wednesday, April 4. Hughesville merchants are giving it.
Picture Rocks
The Allen Bible class of the Methodist Sunday school entertained the men of the Church and the young men’s class from the young people’s department and the boys’ class from the intermediate department in the social rooms of the church Tuesday evening.

If you have occasion to remove the magnets of a magneto be careful not to drop them as they break easily.
All Around the House
Carrots, turnips and parsnips may be kept fresh by covering them with sand or earth and keeping them in a dark place.
Before putting knives away, rub the blades with mutton fat or Vaseline and roll them in brown paper. This will keep them from rusting.
