Sprout Waldron & Co. manufacturers of the celebrated Monarch line of Flour Mill Machinery, have began the erection of a new storage building just south of their building in which heir woodworking department is located.

Although working short handed, Charles Kunz, of Muncy R.D. 3 is turning out and delivering over 200 cement blocks, 8x8x16 inches each day.

Fishermen and tourists will have a new place to visit next summer. Early in May,m the Beaver Lake Hotel will be opened at Beaver Lake, about 15 miles from Muncy.

Mr. and Mrs. Robert Gantch and daughters Beatrice and Grace delightfully entertained at their home near town Wednesday evening of last week.

Deaths: Mary E. Hartzell, Muncy, died April 20; Irvin W. Confer, son of Hiram Confer, of Muncy, died Friday night of last week; Ella Snyder, of Muncy, died Sunday morning at the age of 58 years after a long illness.

Robert Hiemenz was named “Jaycee of the Year”.

Both high school wrestling coaches Head Coach Earl Poust and assistant Lynn Poust resigned their coaching positions.

Theresa Martynowski, of Mount Pleasant, became the bride of Robert J. Harriman, of Muncy, on March 31.

Engagement announced of Margorie Lambdin, Muncy, to Harry Stroup, of Pennsdale.

Brady Hill has purchased a Nash touring car.

Ellery Swank has purchased a Nash touring car.

William Fague has purchased a Buick touring car.

Mrs. Margaret Moran, of Muncy Valley, is spending some time with her aunt, Mrs. John Turner and family at their home on Second street.

J.W. Poust and family have moved to the Vandine farm purchased by Mr. Poust, and is making improvements.

Ellis Kepner, R.D.2, is having a bungalow, 30×36 ft. built near the family residence, for his son and wife. Brady McCarty has completed the foundation.

Brady McCarty was slightly injured yesterday morning at the residence of Brady Bartlow, where he has been working, when his sleeve caught in the cement mixer.

The Auxiliary food sale will be held at Cadman’s Hardware store on Saturday, April 21. Sale commencing at 10 A.M. Northing will be sold before that time. We solicit your patronage.

A ham and egg supper will be held in the Sunday School room of the Methodist church, April 28, from 5 until 8 o’clock, by the teacher of the primary department for benefit of that department.

I beg to announce that I have secured the exclusive agency for the well-known and popular “clows-knit” Hosiery. Telephone or drop me a card and samples will be submitted for inspection. Mrs. S.E. Harriman.

L.P. Gilmore, of the firm, Baker and Gilmore, proprietors of the Eagle Woolen Mills, R.D. 1, is continuing the improvements in his residence begun about a year ago. Last week T.D. Montague, of Picture Rocks, completed a handsome hardwood floor in the parlor and made other necessary changes. Mr. and Mrs. J.H. Fitzwater, of Los Angeles, Calif., have been visiting there and are thinking seriously of locating somewhere in this section. Mrs. Gilmore and Mrs. Fitzwater are sisters.

Deaths: Mrs. Margaret A. Eddy, Picture Rocks’ oldest resident, died at her home Saturday evening at the age of 87. She was the widow of A.L. Eddy

The funeral of Mrs. Levina Hill took place Sunday afternoon from the home of her daughter, Mrs. Della Russell, on North Third street. She was aged 90 years.

Mrs. W.M. Edkin, widow of Warren M. Edkin, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. James Harding, of Mountoursville, Tuesday after a short illness. She was 76 years of age.
