Freid Blue, of Port Penn, recently piloted a raft from Lock Haven to Northumberland, the length of which was 317 feet. Said to be the longest raft that ver came down the river.

April 5, 1923
The Picture Rocks High School Basketball team defeated the Triangle team of Williamsport on the local floor Friday evening by the score of 30-22. The visitors were confident of winning, but found that they could not solve the attacks of the locals. The local attack was led by Campbell and Corson with Parsons playing a great defensive game. G. Botto starred for the Triangle while Piedi also played well.
Grace Lorah has purchased a new Buick touring car.
Frank Parker has purchased a new Studebaker touring car.
Mrs. James Kohler has returned to her mother, Mrs. Zinc, at Liberty.
C.J. Kahler has opened a general sporting goods store in the Cadman building.
Mr. and Mrs. Lester Deininger, of Watsontown, spent Sunday with relatives in this place.
Mr. and Mrs. George Barto and family have moved into the Jacob Rishel property on Academy street.
Mr. and Mrs. C.M. Simmons and family have moved into the McCarty property on Academy street.
Miss Celia Gray left Monday to resume her studies at West Chester Normal after spending her vacation with her parents.
Mrs. David Rabinovich was badly bruised about the body last Wednesday evening when she fell while stepping from her husband’s automobile on Park avenue in Williamsport.
Mrs. George Myers has returned to her home at Muncy Valley, being called here by the illness and death of her mother, Mrs. Christine Worthington.
