Correction to April 9 edition in “Peeks”: The birth announcement of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Myers, Muncy, daughter, April 2, incorrect. The correct date is April 1. Born at Muncy Valley Hospital at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday the first of April, 1953. The baby weighed 7 lbs and 2 ounces and was 18 1/2 inches.

Died: William Rankin Deeter, aged 72 years, died Sunday evening from typhoid pneumonia; Franklin Gray, a veteran of the Civil War, died Saturday at the home of his son, Walter, near Pennsdale, He was seventy-nine years of age.

Public Horse Sale
Corson & Rankin will expose to Public Sale at the Lee Smith barn, Hughesville, on Thursday, May 10, 1923, at one o’clock P.M., rain or shine, an express carload of Illinois horses, consisting of 28 in all.
Picture Rocks
A sauerkraut and weiner supper will be held Friday evening, May 4, at the Methodist Church for the benefit of the senior class of the Picture Rocks high school.
About forty-five members of the Odd Fellows lodge of Hughesville attended the services at the Baptist church on Sunday evening. The address, the subject of which was “True Friendship,” was based on the text, John 15:13, “Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friend.”
Wedding: Miss Miriam P. Swank, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Swank, and Clarence J. Fry, of Halls Station, were married Saturday morning in the parsonage of the Pine Street Methodist church by the pastor, Rev. John F. Daugherty. They will reside at Halls Station, where Mr. Fry owns a farm.
Deaths: Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 o’clock for Franklin Gray, a veteran of the Civil war, who died Saturday at the home of his son, Walter, of Pennsdale. He was seventy-nine years of age and leaves his son and four daughters.
Mrs. Sophie Flick, wife of Robert B. Flick, 110 West Central avenue, South Williamsport, died Saturday evening after a lingering illness. She is survived by her husband, two daughters, and one son. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the home. Interment was made in Pleasant Hill cemetery.
Funeral services for Chalmer Bardo, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Bardo, North Main street, were held at the home Sunday afternoon at 2 o’clock. He was 38 years of age.
J.O. Coleman has purchased a Hudson sedan.
Harry Bubb has purchased a Studebaker touring car.
Ray Sones and family have moved to Harrisburg, where they will reside.
J.R. Lynch, of the Pathe Film company, was a recent visitor in this place.
Emerson McCarty returned home yesterday from the Williamsport hospital, where he underwent an operation for appendicitis.
The Men’s Bible class of Trinity Lutheran Sunday school spent Friday evening at the fishing club at Ogdonia, where they enjoyed a sumptuous supper and spent a very pleasant evening.
