Nov. 14, 1874

Married: On the 28th ult, Daniel Senseman of Turbotville, and Miss Sadie Plotts of Muncy.

The steam saw mill of Noble & Peterman is being run day and night.

The question of gas is a fact, the necessary stock having been secured on Wednesday.

James D. Brewer and Jos. Shoemaker are home from N.Y. where they placed one of Brewer’s patent fishways in the Mohawk river.

Friday, Nov. 16, 1883

Frank Buck is erecting a residence on the road leading to the Reading depot.

Coulter, Rogers and Co. are crowded with orders and their new factory is being run to capacity.

Some scoundrel made an attempt to sink he canal boat of Allen Trumbower, while lying at the wharf at Muncy basin. Three auger holes had been bored in the bottom of the boat.

Waldron & Sprout’s new factory is rapidly approaching completion.

Charity Ball at “Y” To Be Held Nov. 30th–Eight pIece Orchestra will be a Feature-Fourth Annual Event-Benefit Needy-Ray Sprout as Soloist.

A score or more of people were hurt when a large section of an emergency stand gave away during the Bucknell-Lehigh football game at Lewisburg Saturday afternoon.

Edna S. Snyder, of Muncy, and James Covert, of Muncy, were united in marriage on Saturday morning.

Deaths: Mrs. William Rupert died Sunday morning, aged 63; Mrs. Anna Yetter died Tuesday morning at her home near Hall’s Station, aged 74 years.

The little daughter born to Mr. and Mrs. Harold Daye has been named Barbara Louise.

Mrs. Lillian Stepp and John Hessler spent the week-end with relatives in Renova.

Dr. H.T. Smith, Clinton Cook, Robert Smith and Arthur Wilkins attended the football game at Lewisburg Saturday.

Clay Miller is a member of a hunting party with headquarters at the Rainbow cottage along the Loyalsock.

Mrs. Margaret Fiester, Miss Kathryn Shultz and Myron Fiester spent the week-end at Laquin, as the guests of Mr. ad Mrs. Reamer Fiester.

Mrs. T. Harold Boak entertained the members of the Young People’s Missionary society of Trinity Lutheran church at her home on North Broad street, Monday evening.

Picture Rocks

Mrs. C.W. Burrows very pleasantly entertained the Sunshine Club on Thursday. Those present were Mrs. M.C. Persun, Mrs. C.A. Sypher, Mrs. G.A. Ferrell, Mrs. Edward Bayley, Mrs. G.F. Armstrong, Mrs. F.B. Foster, Mrs. Robert Archer, Mrs. R.G. Fry, Mrs. H.P. Burrows, Mrs. Nellie Haman and Miss Maud Bennett.

The Ogdonia Sporting club killed two bears last week. Clyde Campbell and Corbett Sheets were the lucky sportsmen.
