Vive and one-half columns are given to the testimony in the trial of Barney McCue, indicted for the murder of John Deeter on Oct. 25, 1874, and subsequently found guilty of murder in the first degree.
A.D. Hower was admitted to practice in the Lycoming county courts last Saturday and has hung out his shingle as a lawyer at his residence in East Muncy.
Joseph B. Dramer has removed to Watsontown and entire shoe business with Joseph Hollopeter, also a former resident of this vicinity.
A young son of D.H. Baker of Port Penn had one of his fingers cut off last Saturday by a young son of Jacob Painter.

Married-On Nov. 22,, 1883, John P. Smith, of Muncy, and Miss Mary Crouse, of Philadelphia,. They will reside in Muncy.
Beginning with next Sunday the Sunday School at St. James Church will be h eld at two o’clock in the afternoon, instead of in the morning.

Elk may be legally killed in Pennsylvania Dec.1st to 15th. Hunters are permitted to kill bull elk with four points or better, one elk only being allowed to an individual hunter and one only to a hunting camp.

Joan Heilman was chosen May Queen by students of Muncy-Muncy Creek senior high school on Nov. 23.
A torrential downpour Sunday night thrust nearly two inches of rainfall.
The condition of Franklin Poust, 15, son of Mr. and M Rs. Alvin Poust, Muncy, is reported good this week as he is recovering from gunshot wounds suffered while hunting in Wolfe township and had pellets removed from his right are, chest, and thigh.
Wedding announced of Air Force S/Sgt. Ray McCarty, Muncy, to Margaret Tipper, of England, on Nov. 21.

Dr. G.A. Poust, Executor of the Benjamin Poust estate, will expose to Public Sale at the residence 48 Broad street on Saturday, December 8, 1923, at 1 o’clock sharp, the following: Two stoves, 5 beds and bedding, tables, stands, chairs, rocking chairs, 85 yards rag and ingrain carpet, sewing machine, 2 clocks, dishes and many articles too numerous to mention.
The Ladies Aid society of Trinity Lutheran church will hold their annual Bazaar, in the Brenholtz building, North Main street, Nov. 30th and Dec. 1st, Friday and Saturday of this week. The Bazaar will open promptly at 7 o’clock Friday evening. A food sale will be held in connection with the Bazaar on Friday evening as well as on Saturday morning. Please bring or send articles in as early in the week as possible so they can be marked.

Mr. and Mrs. Theo. A. Boak and daughter, Josephine, left Tuesday afternoon for Florida, where they will spend the winter.
The State Highway going up the Muncy Creek, beyond Picture Rocks, is in such a bad condition that it is almost impossible to get through. Several cars have had to be pulled out in the last few days, due to the widening and filling in the low places with a soft clay material.
At a public meeting held in room six, in the High School building Friday afternoon, organization of a Parent-Teacher association was completed under circumstances which look well for the success of the association. There were fifty-four persons who became identified with the movement at the organization meeting.
Mrs. Mary Fulmer, wife of Frank Fulmer, died Sunday morning the Muncy Valley hospital, at the age of thirty-one years.
